May 1st: Wedding

After a break of over 6 and 1/2 months, I finally performed my 1st wedding of 2010. Joanne and Chris had their ceremony and reception at Strong Mansion in Dickerson, MD. Using a Jane Austen theme, cocktail music revolved around tracks from various Austen films. An early highlight was a wedding party intro/dance routine to Slumdog's "Jai Ho". Joanne and Chris danced to Harry Connick's "It Had To Be You" for their 1st dance and a joint parent dance was done to Louis Armstrong's "What A Wonderful World". Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Ella Fitzgerald tracks were played during dinner while Top 40 dance, including the Cupid Shuffle, played during the reception. The evening ended with "Grow Old With You" from the Wedding Singer Soundtrack. Wedding Planning was provided by Phenomenal Butterfly, Catering was provided by RKA Catering, and photography was provided by Melanie Reyes .
