March 14th: Wedding

Photos by Jason Putsche'

Congrats to Caroline and Alec as they celebrated their wedding at the Valley Country Club in Towson, MD. Cocktails and dinner music included Etta James, Beatles, Sinatra, Jack Johnson, and Michael Buble. The wedding party was introduced to Fall Out Boy's "Dance Dance" and Caroline and Alec chose Edwin McCain's "I Could Not Ask For More" as their 1st dance. Our bride danced with her dad to Heartland's "I Love Her First" while the groom and his mom chose Iz's "Over The Rainbow/What A Wonderful World" medley. Some motown and disco started things up, eventually giving way to 80s classics and current hip-hop. Elvis' "Can't Help Falling In Love" closed out the evening's last dance. March 7th: Wedding

After a 3 month winter break, my first event in 2009 was a wedding for Melissa and Bill. The Old Town Alexandria Hilton was the site for a "Casino Themed" wedding reception. Guests were able to play for fun at blackjack and craps tables and prizes were given out from a raffle at the evening's end. Music from Sinatra, Bennett, and Dean Martin covered the cocktail period. The bride and groom forgoed the traditional dances so various oldies and current top 40 dominated the dancing portion of the evening. The last dance was Marvin Gaye's "Let's Get It On".
