September 18th: Wedding
Rachael and Ryan celebrated their wedding at Stoney's Seafood Restaurant on Broomes Island, MD. The wedding party was introduced to a techno version of Pachelbel's Canon in D Major. Rachael and Ryan danced their 1st dance to Savage Garden's "Truly Madly Deeply" and after a minute, we blended into Blame It On The Pop - a remix of the top 25 songs of 2009. Rachael and her grandfather danced to Rascal Flatt's "My Wish" and Ryan and his mom danced to Fath Hill's "There You'll Be". Dance music filled the afternoon while the event wrapped up with 311's "Love Song".

August 7th: Wedding
In my first Delaware event since starting DJGreyhound in 2002, Venus On The Half Shell in Dewey Beach, DE provided the setting for Jess and Reid's beach-themed wedding. The wedding party was introduced to Stevie Wonder's "Signed Sealed Delivered" and the bride & groom danced their 1st dance to Bob Marley's "High Tide or Low Tide". Jess danced with her dad to Bob Dylan's "Forever Young" and Reid danced with his mom to Louus Armstrong's "What A Wonderful World". Music ranging from the Beatles to Bob Marley to Lady Gaga filled out the night. The evening ended with another Bob Marley tune "Jammin".

July 31st: Wedding
Congrats to Kathy & Ryan as they celebrated their special day at the Strathmore Music Center in North Bethesda, MD. Dinner music consisted of tracks from Ella Fitzgerald, Tony Bennett, Sinatra, and various latin tracks. Kathy & Ryan chose Ben Harper's "Waiting For You" as their 1st dance. Kathy danced with her dad to Buena Vista Social Club's "Dos Gardenias" while Ryan and his mom danced to Louis Armstrong's "What A Wonderful World". More latin music tracks provided dancing throughout the night as well as Black Eyed Peas, Shakira, and Beyonce. Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" completed the evening.
July 17th: Private Event
Congratulations to Barbara on her 70th birtday celebration at her daughter's residence in Gaithersburg, MD. Good food and cake were available for the guests to enjoy. Motown, Sinatra, Dean Martin, and classic rock filled out the evening. Guests were able to take a break from the heat by cooling off in the pool.

July 10th: Wedding
Lindsay & Craig celebrated their wedding at the Fair Lakes Marriott in Fairfax, VA. The happy couple chose Mary Chapin Carpenter's "Grow Old With Me" as their 1st dance. A combined parents' dance featured Carole King's "Child Of Mine". A variety of hits from the 1990's and 2000's filled up the night. The evening closed out with Louis Armstrong's "What A Wonderful World."

May 22nd: Wedding
A rare opportunity to perform two events in one day had Melissa and Phil celebrating their wedding at the Josephine Butler Parks Center in Washington, DC. The bride and groom danced to Lou Reed's "I Love You" as their 1st dance. Sinatra, Billie Holiday, and blues tracks filled up the coctail/dinner periods. The bride and groom were heavily into folk music and I got to play some folk tracks for them during the evening. Retro and 80s hits kept people dancing throughout the night.
May 22nd: Wedding
Congratulations to Camila and Paul as they celebrated their special day at Woodend Mansion in Chevy Chase, MD. They danced their 1st dance to Ray LaMontagne's "You Are The Best Thing". Camila danced with her father to Fonseca's "Gratitud" while Paul danced with his mom to "Sunrise Sunset". Some latin tracks, retro, and 80s tracks filled out the afternoon. The last dance was Rusted Root's "Send Me On My Way".

May 1st: Wedding
After a break of over 6 and 1/2 months, I finally performed my 1st wedding of 2010. Joanne and Chris had their ceremony and reception at Strong Mansion in Dickerson, MD. Using a Jane Austen theme, cocktail music revolved around tracks from various Austen films. An early highlight was a wedding party intro/dance routine to Slumdog's "Jai Ho". Joanne and Chris danced to Harry Connick's "It Had To Be You" for their 1st dance and a joint parent dance was done to Louis Armstrong's "What A Wonderful World". Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Ella Fitzgerald tracks were played during dinner while Top 40 dance, including the Cupid Shuffle, played during the reception. The evening ended with "Grow Old With You" from the Wedding Singer Soundtrack. Wedding Planning was provided by Phenomenal Butterfly, Catering was provided by RKA Catering, and photography was provided by Melanie Reyes .
